Michael has supervised and managed in the government and private sectors during his career for over three decades. After witnessing the deployment of Operation Noble Eagle which mobilized thousands of National Guard and reserve personnel to perform security missions on U.S. military installations, airports and other potential targets to the homeland such as bridges, power plants, and port facilities shortly after 9/11 inspired Michael to do more for his country.
Michael has worked for the last fifteen years in the Behavioral Detection and Analysis Division for the Transportation Security Administration under the Department Of Homeland Security helping to protect and mitigate threats against our nation's transportation infrastructure shortly after the attacks on September 11, 2001. Michael’s passion for supporting our military has evolved over many years of working with veterans and witnessing the sacrifices our brave men, women, and families have made on behalf of the United States. During his years of federal service and watching the impact that the war on terror has had on our nation’s military Michael believes that if you are a veteran, active service member or military family in need of medical attention you should never pay any out-of-pocket costs for health care. Michael has been married for over twenty-eight years to his high school sweetheart Christine and blessed with two wonderful children Jacqueline (23) and Joseph (19) living south of Boston near Cape Cod and the Islands. "The Medic Now Foundation exists to say thank you for making the commitment and sacrifice on behalf of our great nation" - Michael P. Duggan |
